Paintings

I love to paint.  I think I am witnessing a miracle when the paint forms images or colors that I've never seen before.  The paint is alive.  Sometimes the work flows almost without my help; other times it resists.  It can be quite stubborn so that occasionally I have to let it know I am in charge.  I then scrape a section out.   We start over, the paint and I.  Then the harmony begins again.

I painted with oils for years but then switched to acrylic.  Acrylic is healthier for me and for the planet.  I like the behavior of acrylic.  I put layer upon layer and the paint does not protest.  It does not form cracks.  It dries quickly and loves to go on working today.  We make good partners.
